Noveller – June 16, 2010- Bloomington, IN

Unexpected Encounters:

Who doesn’t love stumbling onto something great by accident? Noveller, aka Sarah Lipstate, put everyone in a trance last night at Russian Recording in Bloomington, IN. Her solo set of aggressive, atmospheric instrumentals had me scratching my head wondering where all that sound was coming from. This Brooklyn-NY based guitarist and filmmaker has played in Rhys Chatham’s Guitar Army, and as a member of Glenn Branca’s 100 guitar ensemble.

Her new record, Desert Fires, has just been released. You need it.
